Baseball is synonymous with the 4th of July holiday. Fans looking to celebrate today’s holiday by watching MLB action have a few different options.
MLB Network will be broadcasting the first game of the day at 11 a.m. Eastern featuring the Mets and Nationals. Washington has a sizable lead atop the NL East. Beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern, MLB Network will join the Blue Jays and Yankees game already in progress. Both teams are looking to gain ground on the Red Sox in the AL East.
ESPN has two MLB broadcasts beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern with a Pennsylvania battle featuring the Pirates and Phillies. Both teams have had disappointing starts to the season.
ESPN will also have the Red Sox and Rangers game beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern. After a recent surge, Boston is building a slight lead in the AL East, while Texas finds themselves near the bottom of the AL West.
