There’s no doubt about it, Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood are a power couple. Although they’ve had very different paths to fame, the pair has been married for nearly seven years.
Fisher, who is a forward for the Nashville Predators, met Underwood backstage after one of her concerts in 2008. The couple became engaged on December 20, 2009.

3. Fisher Signed a 5-Year Contract Extension Worth $21 Million in 2007
Fisher became known for his aggressive style of play and versatile skill set with Ottawa. The forward was a finalist for the Selke Award in 2005-06 as one of the NHL’s top defensive forwards with a career-high plus-minus (+/-) rating of +23 in the regular season. Fisher recorded 22 goals and 44 points, helping the Senators enter the playoffs as the first seed in the Eastern Conference.
He tied his career high in 2006-07 with 22 goals in 68 regular-season games along with 26 assists for 48 points, both personal bests. Fisher had five goals and five assists in 20 playoff games in the 2006-07 postseason for the Senators, who reached the Stanley Cup Final for the first time. Fisher’s 73 playoff hits ranked second overall.
In September 2007, he agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $21 million with the Senators.
