Michael Onorati, from Glasgow, was stunned to discover his right foot had turned a deep mahogany shade one morning
A DAD has unknowingly committed the most hilarious fake tan fail ever after his wife used his sock to apply the glow-enhancing cream.
Michael Onorati, from Glasgow, was stunned to discover his right foot had turned a deep mahogany shade one morning and feared he had developed an unusual medical condition.
Sharing a snap of his bronzed sole online, he confessed: “Woke up to a black foot this morning, thought it was the old Raynaud’s Phenomenon [a condition where the body’s blood supply struggles to reach the fingers and toes].
“S*** my pants for a good 30 mins then found out that the missus decided to use my socks as a fake tanning mitt #blackandwhite.”
The laugh-out-loud picture has since gone viral and been liked more than 97,000 times.
His partner, Stephanie Wylie, later admitted she has used one of his sports socks as a tanning mitt.
Stephanie shared another image of Michael’s golden foot on Facebook. She wrote: “This is the front of his foot, his nails.”
The comical post prompted others to share their fake tan fails, with many revealing they sneakily use socks as mitts.
Laura Jayne Storey confessed she’d used her son’s sock for applying some St Tropez. She wrote: “Did this and my 12-year-old son’s foot turned out the same.”
Karen Grieves posted a snap of a pair of men’s feet with the words: “Ankles are defo the tricky part, eh Derek Whiteside?”
Emilie Joanne Seraphina Swift felt the wrath of her partner after using his socks to apply a spot of bronzer. She wrote: “This was my boyfriend’s foot after a week. He snapped me this from gym.”
